haagen-dazs ice cream smoothie
I first discovered Haagen-Dazs in May 2008. The flavours we get here are most of those that can be found in Germany. I tried nine flavours (Cookie Dough Chip, Cookies & Cream, Dulce de Leche, Pralines & Cream, Macadamia Nut Brittle, Vanilla Caramel Brownie, Choc Choc Chip, Baileys and Belgian Chocolate) and they were all good. My favourites were the Baileys (sadly, this one has disappeared from our supermarkets since) and Belgian Chocolate.
This year, two new "smothie" Haagen-Dazs flavours have appeared: Raspberry & Summer Berries and Mango & Apricot. Being the curious creature that I am, I decided to give them a try, even though I'm not a fruit ice-cream person (unless we're talking about lemon or orange ice-cream). I should have taken that into account. The taste of the Raspberry & Summer Berries didn't bother me, although I wasn't crazy about it either, but I really didn't like how the Mango & Apricot tasted. People who usuallly like fruit ice-creams will probably like them, though. They're really creamy and they melt nicely.

Mixed Berry Sorbet (53%): mixed berry puree (47%), water, sugar, glucose syrup, natural flavouring: raspberry, gelling agent: pectin.
Summer Berries Ice Cream (47%): fresh cream, skimmed milk, summer berries puree (21%), sugar, egg yolk, concentrated lemon juice, gelling agent: pectin.
» Mango & Apricot:
Mango Sorbet (53%): water, mango puree (36%), sugar, glucose syrup,gelling agent: pectin, natural flavouring: mango.
Apricot Ice Cream (47%): fresh cream, skimmed milk, apricot (14%), sugar solution (sugar, water), sugar, egg yolk, concentrated lemon juice, natural flavouring: apricot, concentrated lemon juice, gelling agent: pectin..
