ice-mastry basala walnut with chopped walnuts
The first entry in the scrapbook was about Ice-Mastry Garden Party Chocolate with Cherries ice-cream. Well, I recently had the opportunity to try something new from Ice-Mastry: Basala Walnut with Chopped Walnuts.
I was really curious about it because I like walnuts and the Chocolate Basala tastes great. Unfortunately, I was not as lucky with this walnut-flavoured ice-cream with walnut pieces. The taste was a nice walnut taste, but I didn't like the melt of the ice-cream. Maybe the supermarket's storage conditions weren't exactly the apropriate ones either... who knows. This time it certainly couldn't have melted on the way back home, it was really cold.
Ingredients: chopped walnuts, low fat milk powder, sugar, butter, glucose fructose syrup, coconut fat, emulsifier: E471, stabilisers: E412 & E410, walnut paste, aromatic substance identical to natural walnut, dye: E150c; may contain traces of peanuts and other nuts.
Storage: at temperatures not higher than -18°C; after melting, the ice-cream may not be re-frozen and consumed.
Price: 11.3 lei (750ml box); that's the equivalent of €2.62/ ₤2.33/ $3.65.
